Motion
I clearly remember, when I was 6 or 7, seeing a video showing how Ray Harryhausen animated the skeleton army for Jason and the Argonauts and realising that, what seemed like magic before, was something that I could do. I have had a lifelong love of animation ever since.
I always try to bring movement into all my work, whether it is illustrating a learning module or building a user interface. Here, you’ll find some examples.
Øresund Bridge
A short video I made on the 8km Øresund Bridge, which spans the Øresund (The Sound) from Copenhagen in Denmark to Malmö in Sweden. Most famous for it’s titular role in The Bridge TV Show.
Living Illustration
The idea of a ‘Living Illustration’ is to bring a page to life by adding subtle interactive movement.
Short Animations
Netherlands 2015
Lochleven Castle
A short video I made to sharpen my editing skills around the precise timing required when editing video to music.
Sky – During The Day!
A corporate video for an away day, which spoofed cheesy daytime tv shows. Featuring extensive use of green screen, After Effects and tight editing. Filmed, post-processed and edited by me.
